Tryout Process and Registration

Metro tryouts are NOT designed to eliminate players. ALL players trying out in the 15 and under age divisions will be offered a position on a team belonging to our Metro volleyball family. Many players in our 8 - 15's age category start as beginners, these players are in the early stages of their development and they progress significantly over the course of a Metro season. After a season with Metro these players are able to make a dramatic impact on their teams at their respective schools.
Our tryouts consist of skill-based drills and team competition. Each individual athlete will be thoroughly evaluated during their 3-hour tryout. They will be placed (based on their skill level) on an appropriate team to ensure the optimal development of their volleyball skills, technique, and game strategy.

Tryouts will take place in our 30,000 sq. ft. Sports Academy at 2950 Brother Blvd., Bartlett, TN 38133.
Check-in will take place prior to each tryout (check-in time is listed for each tryout).
During check in, you will receive your tryout number, have your vertical, height etc… measured, and need to be fitted for your jersey. The check-in may take anywhere from 15-45 minutes depending on number of players trying out in the respective age group.

The tryout fee is $55 if pre-registered before October 1, 2019.
After this date it is $75.

All 8-10s age group tryout fee is only $25!
