We are excited to bring our athletes NEW Strength Speed and Agility Training opportunities developed by David Allen, owner of NBS Fitness.
NBS Fitness has designed volleyball specific Strength Speed and Agility Training programs exclusively for Memphis Metro athletes. No other athletes can receive this elite and customized age-specific speed strength and agility training adapted for pre-season, in-season, and post-season.
NBS Fitness is the premier training facility in the mid-south and has been helping develop athletes of all levels and a wide variety of sports for over 7 years. NBS trainers have degrees in exercise science, top level certifications, and have been through a comprehensive trainer development program. They have combined experience working on college strength staffs, working with professional athletes, and have relationships with some of the top strength coaches in the country. They are bringing this experience and knowledge to Memphis Metro to help prepare our athletes for success.

David has a B.S. in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutritional Science and has CSCS and Crossfit Level One Certifications. David grew up in Memphis, went to ECS, and played college football at Delta State University. After college, David was on the strength staff at LSU where he worked with football, women’s volleyball, and women’s soccer. After college football, David needed something to compete in and has since trained for and competed in Olympic lifting, strongman, powerlifting, bodybuilding, OCRs, and CrossFit. David has been in the fitness industry for over 10 years with roles in college strength and conditioning, private sector sports performance, personal training, and has been running NBS Fitness since 2011. David works with everything from powerlifters to bodybuilders to NFL athletes to middle school and high school athletes to everyday people looking to improve their health and fitness.
