Coach Maria is returning to Metro after taking a year off. Coach Maria coached at Metro for 10 years before her break. She has coached teams in ages 12, 13, 14 and 15. This year she is scheduled to coach the 16's category at Metro. She is IMPACT certified and was CAP I certified in 2003 and 2004.

Coach Maria played high school and club ball in Memphis on the first Memphis JO club team in the 1970's. She played as a defensive specialist in college at the University of TN at Martin.

Coach Maria is a nurse by trade but has such a love for the game of volleyball , she keeps coming back.
