2017-2018 METRO TRYOUTS

Metro tryouts are NOT designed to eliminate players. ALL players will be offered a position on a team in our Metro volleyball family. Many players in our 12's - 15's  category start as beginners - players in the early stages of their development and progress significantly over the course of the Metro season making a dramatic impact on their teams in their respective schools. 
The tryouts consist of skill-based drills, and team competition. Each individual athlete will be thoroughly evaluated. They will be placed (based on their skill level) on an appropriate team to assure the most efficient development of their volleyball skills, technique, and game strategies.

10-12's - Saturday, October 14th
11 - 12 PM Check in, 12 - 3 PM tryout....Born on/after September 1, 2005

13's - Sunday, October 15th
12 - 1 PM Check in, 1 - 4 PM tryout....Born on/after September 1, 2004

14's - Monday, Oct 16th
4 - 5 PM Check in, 5 - 8 PM tryout....Born on/after September 1, 2003

10-14’s Make-Up Tryouts
Tuesday, Oct 17th,  5 - 5:30 PM Check in, 5:30 - 7 PM tryout
15's - Saturday, October 21st
8 - 9 AM Check in, 9 - 12 PM tryouts....Born on/after September 1, 2002

16's - Saturday, October 21st
3 - 4 PM Check in, 4 - 7 PM tryout....Born on/after September 1, 2001

17's - Sunday, October 22nd
12 - 1 PM Check in, 1 - 4 PM tryout....Born on/after September 1, 2000

18's - Sunday, October 22nd
12 - 1 PM Check in, 1 - 4 PM tryout....Born on/after September 1, 1999

Tryouts will take place in our 35,000 sq. ft. training facility at 2950 Brother Blvd., Bartlett, TN 38133. The first 60 min are dedicated to registrations. If you are new to the sport of volleyball or do not have a chance to fill in online registration please come 60 min before tryout start to make sure all paperwork is done correctly. 

All players trying out have to be registered members of USAV. The registration is done online (click here to enter USAV web site). Choose RENEW MEMBERSHIP link if you were USAV member last season. 
 
Please choose Memphis Metro as a club of choice from the pull-down menu if you are sure you will play with us. After registering online at USAV site please print:
1. USAV Membership Card (when registering there is a link on left upper side)

2. Player USAV Medical Release Form (fill in & print during registration at USAV site)

3. Memphis Metro Tryout Registration at SportsEngine.com. In order to do so you will have to first create an account there (click here for a registration at SportsEngine).
4. Tryout fee is $50 if registered before October 11, 2017.

We strongly recommend you pre-register for tryouts in order to save time and money, on-site registration fee is $70.
