Metro Stars Selected for High Performace Summer Team

Memphis Metro is proud to announce that 3 of their players have been selected for the 2010 High Performance Summer Rosters!  Receiving the top honors were: Devan Porter (Select A1), Kelley Cole & Kenzie Fields (A2 Continental)! Metro also had 2 representatives at High Performance camps,   players Stephanie Hochu (A3 Continental) and Katjana Gries (A3 Future Select).
Devan Porter representing the Memphis Metro 14 All Star National played on the USA High Performance select team at the highest level possible for her age category. Devan was selected for her talent as an Outside Hitter for the 2010 U.S. Girls Select A1 Program. She is the only player in the Delta Region and in the state of Tennessee that was selected for this elite team of players. She  played amongst the best players in the country in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin on July 20 through the 30.  Click here to watch her live wearing the  Red USA #17 Jersey.

       
Kelley Cole and Kenzie Fields also representatives of the Memphis Metro 14 All Star National team, both made the 210 U.S. Girls Select Continental Team.  Kelley Cole selected as Libero had the chance to put her defensive skills to the test up against some of the best hitters in the country, while Kenzie Fields competed in the setter position showing her well rounded skill abilities. Both athletes played in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin  July 22-30.


Katjana Gries also a member of  Metro's 14 All Star National team attended the 2010 Girls' Future Select A3 Camp in Colorado Springs, Colorado July 9-13th.   Katjana displayed all of her defensive skills at the camp going in as a top Libero in the country in her age group.


Stephanie Hochu of Metro's 12 All Star National team attended the 2010 Girls Select A3 Camp in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin on July 11-15. Stephanie will be showing off her skills as a Middle Hitter/Blocker at the U.S. level for her age category.
