Lindsey Purvis Sets Metro Record

Lindsey Purvis will go down in Metro history, for being the first player to commit to a Division I volleyball program in February of her Junior year. Lindsey has been an outstanding Libero, and defensive player for Metro for many seasons. Right away Lindsey's defensive skills caught the eye of MTSU Division I Coach and he knew that she would be a great asset to his program. With MTSU being the school of her choice Lindsey knew that she had found the perfect fit.
With the pressure of finding the right college out of the way, Lindsey has been able to release herself into the game and just play...something that she does very well. Lindsey is in her Senior year playing for Briarcrest Christian School, where she is having a standout senior campaign! Lindsey is the backbone of her Briarcrest squad, rarely letting a ball get past her! During a 9 match tournament in Nashville, Lindsey recorded an incredible 143 digs. Other teams competing against Briarcrest have to strategize their offense to keep the ball away from Lindsey as much as possible, this strategy rarely works as Lindsey has a nose for the ball and always seems to be where the ball is! Memphis Metro is very proud to have a player who has reach such accomplishments! We look forward to watching her continue her success with our 18's All-Star National team this coming up Metro Season! CONGRATULATIONS LINDSEY!!!
