Day 1:

A handful of workers led by Mr. Jim, started bright and early working on Metro's new facility.

After Jitka worked out a few safety issues with the contractors, we all set out with   broom in hand and began to sweep the once warehouse walls. After a brief sky-lift driving course two teams of two set out on each wall to sweep from ceiling to floor. Up and down we went, sweeping wall to wall to prepare for the paint.  After the first wall was completely clean and taped off, it was time to PAINT!! The first spray was on, and before you knew it we had one beautiful CREAM wall!! 

....Lunch break!.... Subway!

Mr. Keith did a brilliant job of priming the brick portion of the wall, while those who were not on the lift grabbed a spackle and mud and began to fill wholes on the bottom portion of walls. 

As Jitka and I finished up the last wall (with a great system I might add), Mr. O'Bar went around and found items, that just accidently came off =)... 

The day ended with 2 walls coated with paint and the remaining walls clean and ready!

Overall it was a great day of progress and the coat of paint really makes the gym look GOOD!!!!
